Overview

Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè was founded durring the late 15th century in winter of the year 1397, by Zèsëî Zêyê. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Zèsëî Zêyê.

Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè is buildings are arranged arrounded a highly ordered system of crampt paverstone streets which form triangular paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town is protected by a well-crafted cobblestone fence tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè's frontieer-style defences are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

A look around Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè is like a look into a broken heart which long ago fell to corruption. There is no planning, no organization. Everyone here clearly goes about their own thing with little thought to anyone around them who isn’t selling something they need… unless of course, they would be an easy target for some robbery. The town has truly fallen to evil.

Cultural Notes

The locals are in a state of despair and dull apathy. They've lost the things that used to give them pride and hope, with the best among them carrying on out of habitual duty and the worst giving ready hands to shameful deeds and ignoble acts. No one really believes the future can be better, and most seek only to satisfy immediate appetites.

Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is famous for its stately symmetry, classical elements, and grand appearance. Columns and pillars, such as Corinthian columns, are often seen supporting open structures or porticos. Symmetry is an important feature of this style, with each half of a building mirroring the other. Domed ceilings and windows grace these buildings, with everything placed in a mathematical arrangement.

In Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè the water is caffeinated.

The Giant hissing cockroach near Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves consuming a local narcotic to channel Augury energies of tier 2 via recitation of poetic epics.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè lost 275 people, 272 livestock, and 53 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 97, when members of Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè's militia enacted an operation to assassinate an enemy's family member. The operation was complicated by the enemy forces had far more numbers than estimated. The conflict ended with an assault and siege on the production site, which ended in defeat for Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Rêvi-ëcè Dêtîkè's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
